Fryer Tuck’s Traditional Fish and Chips is owned and run by John and Jean Moore. John and Jean are Barnard Castle locals with over 35 years of Fish and Chip Frying experience and consider ourselves to be the most highly experienced chip shop in the area.

We have not let tradition get in the way of progress though. We have the only “green” range in the area together with a brand new restaurant served from a brand new kitchen. Our refurbishment has gone so well we were featured in the April edition of a National Trade Magazine.

We have a 28 seater restaurant, where you will find quality and comfort with a range of pictures of Barnard Castle from times gone by. In the summer, however, we have a great outside grassed restaurant. Sit and watch the world go by and munch on your grub.

At a recent health inspection we received top marks with no action points or observation at all. This alone is an indication of the standards of quality and service strived for by our trained and experienced staff.
